Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Rogov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Mix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rogov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Cult of Personality. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Rogov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Mix! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mix gets caught flat footed, as Rogov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Rogov stays in close to Mix's body and controls the position. Rogov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mix for as long as he can get away with. Rogov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rogov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Rogov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Alex Rogov wasn't doing enough on the ground. Excellent takedown into side control there by Rogov. Rogov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rogov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mix is not content to let Rogov control the position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Rogov staying calm.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Alex Rogov wasn't doing enough on the ground. Mix shoots for a double leg takedown but Rogov sprawls well. He's pushed Mix's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mix looks gassed! Rogov scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Rogov scores with a couple of short elbows. Mix being controlled for a moment. Rogov tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mix stops Rogov from passing to mount. Rogov works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Rogov is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mix's shoulder. That is not cool. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Mix has eaten all the pies! Rogov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mix has escaped the position, nice work there. Rogov wants to control but Mix is keeping him busy. Rogov tries for a kimura but Mix is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogov passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Mix! Rogov looking to secure an arm triangle but Mix defends it well. Rogov with a couple of short strikes. Rogov sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Rogov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rogov stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rogov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mix tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rogov is in Mix's guard. Rogov wants to control from the top but Mix keeps moving. Rogov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Alex Rogov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rogov landing some decent shots from guard. Mix looking for a sweep. Not yet Mix, not yet. Mix is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rogov defends well. Mix is breathing heavily. Rogov is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rogov controls from within his opponent's guard. Rogov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Rogov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mix looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mix looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mix! Rogov can't do much from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogov regains half guard. Rogov wants to control but Mix is keeping busy and won't allow it. Rogov is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Mix wants to stand up but Rogov has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Alex Rogov just wasn't active enough. Rogov gets a double leg takedown into Mix's guard. Rogov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mix can do to turn this around? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rogov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Alex Rogov just wasn't active enough. Rogov feints and as Mix raises his hands in defense, Rogov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Rogov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Mix is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rogov postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Rogov lands a couple of elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Rogov gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. This has been an exciting period of action! Rogov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mix to the mat! Mix manages to get full guard. Rogov content to stall in guard here. Rogov drops back looking for a leg! Mix is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mix manages to kick Rogov off! Rogov jumps back into Mix's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rogov content to stall in guard here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Rogov dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Rogov falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mix makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Rogov really felt that one! Rogov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Rogov is working for a submission of some sort.

Mix is trying to control but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mix takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rogov stalling. Ground and pound from Rogov. Mix tries to roll over but Rogov keeps him under control. Rogov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rogov is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogov is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Mix looking for subs from the bottom but Rogov mounts him! Rogov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogov with a couple of short strikes. Rogov is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mix can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Rogov throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Mix has his hands clasped together but Rogov breaks the hold and Mix is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Rogov!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Alex Rogov! Alex Rogov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
