Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Alto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Hodgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Donnie Alto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Hodgins! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circle momentarily. Alto darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Nice takedown defense from Alto. No joy for Hodgins on that attempt. Alto pushes Hodgins up against the cage in a clinch. Alto lands with a short shot to the head.
It looks like Adam Hodgins has been cut. Alto makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Alto tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Hodgins turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Alto is looking to regain half guard here but Hodgins keeps moving and retains side control. Sloppy strikes there by Hodgins. Alto pushes Hodgins away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hodgins gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Hodgins trying to control the position but Alto is working away. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hodgins lands a nice forearm strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hodgins throwing strikes but missing, from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alto is not content to let Hodgins control the position. Alto tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hodgins looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Alto is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hodgins off and has taken his back! Hodgins trying to control the hands but Alto breaks the grip. Alto has Hodgins flattened out and is raining down punches. Hodgins just trying to survive but Alto is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Alto thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alto missing with punches from the back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alto somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Alto trying to control. Alto is looking to finish with some ground and pound! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Alto has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hodgins has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Alto is trying to stick to Hodgins's back but Hodgins is turning into Alto. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Alto's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hodgins. Hodgins lands a couple of elbows. Hodgins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alto has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hodgins has managed to get both his arms back between Alto's legs - danger averted. Alto has momentary wrist control but Hodgins slips an elbow through the middle. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hodgins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hodgins wants to pass the guard but Alto is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hodgins is looking to work some ground and pound but Alto has wrist control. Alto keeping full guard, as Hodgins tries to pass. Hodgins trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hodgins stopping the sweep attempt from Alto. Hodgins trying to control but Alto is working from the bottom. Hodgins postures up.
Alto looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hodgins is one step ahead there. Alto keeping full guard, as Hodgins tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hodgins pushes down on Alto's leg and manages to get into half guard. Hodgins is trying to work for a kimura but Alto is defending well.
Alto moves into full guard.
Alto wants to stand up but Hodgins is controlling him. Hodgins cracks Alto with a solid left hand. Hodgins throws a big elbow that misses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hodgins lands a couple of elbows. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hodgins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alto swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hodgins keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Alto's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Adam Hodgins will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Adam Hodgins's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Alto keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hodgins scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hodgins is trying to work for a kimura but Alto is defending well.
Alto tries to get to full guard but Hodgins has control of the leg. Alto has a hand on Hodgins's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Hodgins takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Hodgins lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
It looks like Donnie Alto has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Alto is looking to improve his position but Hodgins isn't that keen on the idea. Alto wants to hold on but Hodgins pushes him away. Hodgins landing strikes from the mount. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Hodgins with a couple of short strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alto is trying to escape the mount.

Alto is rocked! Alto is trying desperately to improve position. Hodgins has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Alto's face.
Oh Alto is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hodgins lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Hodgins connects with a bit shot that sees Alto covering up! More strikes from Hodgins and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Hodgins is our winner by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adam Hodgins! Adam Hodgins tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
