The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiyama throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Stark throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Akiyama stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Stark misses with a body shot.

A looping hook to the body misses from Stark. Akiyama does a little dance to reset his feet.
Akiyama takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Stark tries to bum rush Akiyama with a series of wild strikes but Akiyama uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Akiyama takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Akiyama throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stark sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Stark does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Stark closes the distance and pushes Akiyama back into the cage.
Akiyama pulls guard successfully.
Stark won't allow Akiyama to sweep him here.
Stark wants to control from the top but Akiyama keeps moving.
Akiyama is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
