Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Geoffrey Spaulding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Yun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richard Yun struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Geoffrey Spaulding! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Richard Yun! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The crowd cheers as Spaulding lands an impressive looking overhand right. Yun doesn't seem phased though. Yun takes one to the chin there. Yun swinging wilding here.
Spaulding looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Yun is fending him off so far but Spaulding persists. Nope, Yun circles away and we're back to standing. Spaulding shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Spaulding throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Spaulding avoids a kick to the body.
Yun is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Spaulding blocks the body kick.
Good shot there by Spaulding. Spaulding swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A punch combination from Spaulding misses. Nice takedown defense from Yun. No joy for Spaulding on that attempt. Yun fails with the takedown and Spaulding holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yun breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Spaulding rushes Yun and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Yun has Spaulding pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Spaulding manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Yun lands a hook that snaps the head of Spaulding backwards. Spaulding is pressed up against the ropes. Yun has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Spaulding down to the mat. Spaulding avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Geoffrey Spaulding has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Yun. Spaulding throws a one two combo.
Yun tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Spaulding swivels and escapes. Yun looks gassed! Spaulding closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Spaulding wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Yun, who protects the arm well. Spaulding trying to control the position but Yun is working away. Yun really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spaulding. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Spaulding tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Spaulding has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Spaulding trying to control the position but Yun is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spaulding is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Yun knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Spaulding swings around for an armbar but Yun sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Spaulding's guard. Spaulding has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yun can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Spaulding looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Yun trying to control but Spaulding is working from the bottom. Yun won't allow Spaulding to sweep him here. Spaulding pushes a forearm under Yun's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Yun is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
