Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ismail Saidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pekka Puukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saidov's entrance music is Shamhan Daldaev - Eto Kavkaz. A fine choice. Ismail Saidov had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Puukko.
Puukko feints a jab promting Saidov to slip. Puukko then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Saidov slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Saidov misses with a takedown attempt
and Puukko counters with a low kick, right behind Saidov 's knee.
Puukko chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Saidov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Saidov is breathing heavily.

Puukko working for a triangle but Saidov defends it easily.
Puukko wants to control but Saidov passes easily into half guard.
Saidov passes into side control, despite Puukko's attempt to control the position.
Saidov is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Puukko looks calm but he's in trouble here. Saidov gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Puukko is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Saidov lets go of the hold and Puukko can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ismail Saidov!
