The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawiz on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hughes throws a head kick that Dawiz semi-blocks.
It looks like Edwin Dawiz has been cut.
Hughes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hughes misses with a head kick.
Some wild striking there from Hughes.
Hughes waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dawiz.
Hughes throws a head kick but Dawiz moves out of range.
Hughes moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Dawiz has a takedown stuffed.
Hughes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dawiz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hughes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hughes throws a lazy head kick
and Dawiz counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hughes!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Dawiz postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hughes looks a forlorn figure.
