Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between DuShayne Walters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Gorden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, DuShayne Walters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeff Gorden! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gorden looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Walters is fending him off so far but Gorden persists. Nope, Walters circles away and we're back to standing. Gorden fails with a takedown attempt. Gorden doesn't succeed with the takedown and Walters counters with a one-two to the body. DuShayne Walters has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Gorden. Gorden fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Walters throws a right hand that Gorden ducks under and follows up with a left that Gorden also avoids with ease. Walters misses the body punch enabling Gorden to counter with a crisp jab. Gorden throws a combination that misses and Walters counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Gorden drives through with a takedown into Walters's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Walters wants to stand but Gorden is controlling the position. Walters is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gorden is trying to drag Walters to the mat but Walters just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Gorden pulls guard. Walters wants to control from the top but Gorden keeps moving. Walters passes easily into side control. Nice work. Gorden tries to buck Walters off but Walters is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gorden is trying to control Walters's posture but Walters avoids it. Walters advances to full mount. Gorden is trying to escape the mount.
Gorden tries to lock up and control but Walters gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Walters lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Gorden hang on? Gorden is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Gorden is in a horrible position here. Walters smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
This has been an exciting period of action! Gorden tries to hold on but Walters pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gorden bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Gorden is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Gorden trying to control the position from guard on top but Walters is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gorden pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Walters is keeping the position for now. Walters is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walters keeping full guard, as Gorden tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jeff Gorden wasn't active enough on the ground. Gorden misses with a wild body shot. Gorden keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gorden misses with a wild body shot. Gorden is trying hard to land a takedown here. Walters sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Walters closes the distance and lands a one-two. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Walters takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Walters throws the left hand but Gorden avoids the punch easily. Gorden gets a takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jeff Gorden will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Gorden manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Walters on his heels. He'll look to pass Walters's guard now, I'm sure. Gorden stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walters swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gorden pushing down on Walters's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Well, if Gorden is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gorden stops Walters from getting back to his feet.
Gorden moves into full mount! Walters won't be happy about that! Walters is squirming around, avoiding Gorden's attempts to control the action. Walters holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Gorden tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gorden with the ground and pound from mount. Gorden with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Jeff Gorden has got the better of the ground game so far. Gorden controlling his opponent. Gorden lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Gorden jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Walters manages to avoid the submission attempt. Gorden tries to move to mount but Walters blocks the move with his legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gorden content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Gorden working the strikes but Walters uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Walters is in trouble now - Gorden has advanced to mount! Gorden wants to control the pace but Walters is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walters is trying desperately to improve position. Gorden looking to ground and pound but Walters is blocking nicely. Gorden content just to control the position here. Gorden wants to take his opponent's back but Walters doesn't allow it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gorden tries to control but Walters wriggling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Gorden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Gorden controlling from the top position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Let's hope that Gorden has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jeff Gorden wasn't active enough on the ground. Gorden lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Gorden looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Walters is looking for a sweep. Gorden is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gorden in particular looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gorden is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Walters doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gorden. Gorden sitting and controlling from the half guard. DuShayne Walters has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walters wants to get back to his feet. Gorden has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Gorden trying to control but Walters is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gorden tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Gorden trying to control but Walters is having none of it. Gorden takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Jeff Gorden comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Gorden has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
