Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Owl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pawel Ostrok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Owl's entrance music is Jay-Z & Kanye West - Ni**as In Paris. A fine choice. Tony Owl has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pawel Ostrok! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Owl moves in looking to clinch but Ostrok pushes him off. Owl tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ostrok manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A swing and a miss from Owl. Owl swings widly with a right hand
and Ostrok counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Owl swings widly with a right hand

and Ostrok counters with a nice low kick that buckles Owl's knee momentarily. Owl avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ostrok throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Owl's waist but Owl gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ostrok off to one side. Owl connects with a right hand. Ostrok shakes it off. A big left from Owl misses. Ostrok staying out of range there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! That's one minute gone in the round. Owl throws a jab but it's blocked by Ostrok. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ostrok. Ostrok bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Owl misses with an uppercut
and Ostrok counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Tony Owl has been cut. Ostrok throws a series of punches but Owl avoids them all with ease. Ostrok gets in close and instigates a clinch. Ostrok successfully pulls guard.
Owl wants to stand but Ostrok has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Ostrok looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Owl wants to get up but he can't break Ostrok's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Owl wants to stand and escape but instead Ostrok has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Ostrok stops Owl from standing up. Ostrok pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Owl is keeping the position for now. Ostrok won't allow Owl to get back to his feet. Owl on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Owl tries to get out of the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ostrok thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Owl tries to kick Ostrok off but Ostrok keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ostrok is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Owl is just riding it out for now. Ostrok eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ostrok wants to take a breather but Owl is having none of it. Owl is trying to stand up here but Ostrok is controlling him well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Owl is breathing heavily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Owl wants to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tony Owl will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Tony Owl's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ostrok looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Owl jabbing away but nothing is landing. Owl throws an overhand right that lands on Ostrok's shoulder, as Ostrok tries to avoid the shot. Owl throws a jab but it's blocked by Ostrok. Owl misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Ostrok to counter with a crisp jab. Owl throws a hook to the side of Ostrok's head but Ostrok sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Owl is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Ostrok doesn't manage to clinch there - Owl circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Ostrok looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ostrok. Good leg kick by Ostrok there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Owl enables Ostrok to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Owl manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Ostrok with a flurry of punches that miss. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ostrok accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ostrok stops Owl from standing up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ostrok wants to finish this one by submission but Owl is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ostrok. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ostrok content just to control the position here. Owl tries to buck Ostrok off but Ostrok takes his back! Owl wants to get back to his feet. Ostrok trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Owl doesn't escape.

Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Owl's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Ostrok is rocked! Owl gets to his feet. Ostrok looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
