Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leopold Stotch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leopold Stotch has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Sullivan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leopold Stotch!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullivan lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Sullivan darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Stotch dodges the punch combination from Sullivan.
Jab, jab by Sullivan - just one landing.
Sullivan moves in looking to clinch but Stotch pushes him off.
Stotch swats away the attempt to clinch by Sullivan.
John Sullivan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sullivan throws a right hand that Stotch ducks under and follows up with a left that Stotch also avoids with ease.
Stotch has a takedown stuffed.
Stotch closes the distance and clinches up with Sullivan, looking for a takedown. Stotch pushes Sullivan against the cage but Sullivan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sullivan lands with an uppercut that bounces Stotch off the cage and back into range.
It looks like Leopold Stotch has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sullivan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Stotch momentarily.
Sullivan cracks Stotch with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Stotch looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Sullivan finish him?

Sullivan clinches up with Stotch and pushes him back against the cage.

Sullivan is pressed up against the cage. Stotch has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sullivan down to the mat. Sullivan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
John Sullivan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leopold Stotch.
Sullivan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stotch, pushing him back against the cage.
Stotch seems to have recovered his senses.

Stotch throws an elbow that misses. Sullivan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stotch's guard. Nice move by Sullivan!
Stotch scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Stotch tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sullivan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stotch somewhat.
Sullivan cracks Stotch with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Stotch looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sullivan pushes Stotch off looking to stand but Stotch dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stotch thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sullivan's head.
Stotch throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Stotch passes to full mount!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee warns Sullivan that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Stotch throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Stotch sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Sullivan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stotch on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that John Sullivan will probably get the nod.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
