Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 22 - 1, fighting out of New York, Donato Russo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Lance Kilkenny! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Bruno Lombardi and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kilkenny clinches with his opponent.
Kilkenny tries a knee to the head but Russo blocks it.
Russo turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Russo manages to end up in side control. Russo working the ground and pound. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Russo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
