Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terry Ferdinand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and mag dalena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ferdinand comes to the cage accompanied by Midnight Sunrise-Turisas. Terry Ferdinand could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to mag dalena's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
dalena looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ferdinand darts in and clinches dalena up against the cage.
dalena has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ferdinand avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
dalena jumps guard but Ferdinand stands there with dalena around his waist. dalena gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Terry Ferdinand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of mag dalena.
Ferdinand throws a punch but it's blocked by dalena.
dalena tries to pull guard but Ferdinand won't allow it.
Ferdinand breaks the clinch.
No luck for dalena with that takedown attempt.
dalena throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ferdinand's waist but Ferdinand gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing dalena off to one side.
Ferdinand closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
dalena has Ferdinand pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ferdinand manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
dalena tries to pull guard but Ferdinand won't allow it.

Ferdinand drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ferdinand jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ferdinand postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

dalena is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
dalena had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ferdinand is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. dalena Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ferdinand's back instead.
dalena is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Ferdinand is defending well though. dalena let's go of the attempt for now.

Ferdinand manages to reverse the position and now he's in dalena's guard. Nice work there by Ferdinand.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ferdinand accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

dalena is looking for a triangle but Ferdinand pushes his legs off easily.
Ferdinand stays in close to dalena's body and controls the position.

Ferdinand drops back looking for a leg! dalena is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and dalena manages to kick Ferdinand off! Ferdinand jumps back into dalena's guard.
Ferdinand won't allow dalena to sweep him here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ferdinand slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Ferdinand could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Ferdinand thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

dalena escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ferdinand gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ferdinand stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. dalena swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ferdinand sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed dalena's guard.
dalena actively working from the bottom here.
dalena is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ferdinand's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ferdinand's back!
Ferdinand knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for dalena on the ground.
Ferdinand can't escape the position.

Ferdinand turns into dalena and is now in his guard.

Ferdinand avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

dalena working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ferdinand doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ferdinand manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

dalena is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ferdinand is just riding it out for now. dalena eventually gives up the hold.
