Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Judah Krizbaduhl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Pierce!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krizbaduhl throws a wild body kick that Pierce sees coming a mile off.
Krizbaduhl thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Pierce if he has to take too many more of those.
Krizbaduhl throws a nice head kick!


It looks like John Pierce has been cut.
Judah Krizbaduhl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Krizbaduhl pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Krizbaduhl throws a wild body kick that Pierce sees coming a mile off.
Krizbaduhl misses with a head kick.
Krizbaduhl turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Krizbaduhl tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Pierce shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Krizbaduhl is trying to defend but Pierce finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Pierce works his foot free and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Krizbaduhl really wants to buck Pierce off and get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Pierce has control of Krizbaduhl's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Krizbaduhl regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Krizbaduhl is trying to reverse the position but instead Pierce has taken his back - oops!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pierce controlling the position well here. Krizbaduhl rolled but Pierce kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Let's hope that Pierce has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Pierce is working for a rear naked choke. Krizbaduhl is not defending it well and Pierce has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Krizbaduhl refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Krizbaduhl's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). John Pierce!
After winning the bout, John Pierce thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
