Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Barry Schmelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole River (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schmelly's entrance music is Possibility. A fine choice. River has chosen Creedence Clearwater Revival - Born On The Bayou as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmelly fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Schmelly looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Schmelly throws a hook but River blocks it.
River throws a nice looking combination but Schmelly bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Schmelly swings and misses with a hook to the body.
River walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
A solid leg kick lands there for River.
Schmelly lands with an uppercut that bounces River off the ropes and back into range.
River rushes Schmelly and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
River tries to land knees in the clinch but Schmelly avoids the damage to the body.
River unloads a knee to the mid-section. Schmelly lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
River lands an elbow just above Schmelly 's eye.
It looks like Barry Schmelly has been cut.
River breaks the clinch.

Schmelly shoots in for a double leg but River sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

River connects with an inside leg kick.
Schmelly is breathing heavily.

River buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
River closes the distance and clinches.
Still in the clinch, River scores with a nice short uppercut.
Schmelly takes a knee to the side of the body.
River digs a right hand underneath Schmelly's ribcage. Schmelly let out a lung full of air as it connected.

River lands an elbow inside.

River landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
River unloads a knee to the mid-section. Schmelly lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Schmelly takes an elbow to the forehead.
Schmelly jumps guard but River turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Schmelly. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
River's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
River fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Schmelly.
Schmelly chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before River can pounce on him.
Schmelly has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by River.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
River gets a clinch.
River landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
A nice right hand lands inside from River.
River is pushing Schmelly up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
River lands a body punch in the clinch.
River scores a nice knee to the body.
River unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
River lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Barry Schmelly's cut is getting worse.
River breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Barry Schmelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A solid body kick from River.
An inside leg kick lands from River.
Nice body kick from River.
River scores with a nice head shot.
River lands a nice leg kick that just misses Schmelly's sensitive parts.
River fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
River lands with a thumping leg kick.
River jabs Schmelly right on the nose. Schmelly blinks but takes it well.
River connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Good leg kick by River there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Cole River is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A nice inside leg kick there by River. That's going to slow Schmelly down.
River chopping away at his opponent's legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cole River dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Barry Schmelly's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
River lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Schmelly takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
River lands a big head kick that sends Schmelly tumbling to the mat! River takes a step backwards and waves Schmelly back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
BOOM! River lands a beautiful left hook that drops Schmelly. Schmelly tries to recover but River is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Schmelly lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cole River!
Cole River is the new welterweight champion!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Cole River waved his t-shirt featuring Just Fight's logo in front of the cameras.
