With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlton Banks!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Banks is staying active underneath Kawasaki, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Kawasaki takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kawasaki is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Banks defends it well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Banks can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kawasaki throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Banks is trying to stand up here but Kawasaki is controlling him well.

Kawasaki looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Banks with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kawasaki maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Banks could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Kawasaki has cracked it and Banks is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Kawasaki!
