The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompistone misses with a double jab
and Thompistone takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Thompistone is trying hard to land a takedown here. Striker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Thompistone throws a big shot that misses.
Thompistone doesn't manage to clinch there - Striker circles away.
Thompistone throws a right and a left that both miss.
Striker swings for the body but Thompistone moves out of range.
Thompistone throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

It looks like Travis Thompistone has been cut.
Striker steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Thompistone.
Striker throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Thompistone stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Striker fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Thompistone looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Travis Thompistone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Striker misses with a hook. Thompistone ducked under it nicely.
Striker throws a looping overhand right but Thompistone ducks down to avoid it.
Striker connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Striker moves out of range of the strikes.
Striker loads up on a big right hand but Thompistone slips the punch.

and Striker counters with a nice uppercut.
Striker throws a hook but Thompistone blocks it.
Thompistone moves out of range of the strikes.

Striker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Travis Thompistone's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jeez, Travis Thompistone's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Thompistone fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Striker thuds his right hand into Thompistone's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Striker takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Thompistone is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Travis Thompistone's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). John Striker!
John Striker decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
