Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jazz Gill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joe Noah! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Noah fails to land the takedown. Noah looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Noah misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Gill shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Noah manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Gill works a leg free and moves into half guard. Gill works his way into full mount! Gill controlling his opponent. Gill looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Gill controlling from the full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gill working for a guillotine from mount but Noah is in no mood to give up. Gill with the ground and pound from mount.
It looks like Joe Noah has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gill working Noah over with strikes here. Gill takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Noah really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gill has control of Noah's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Noah regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Gill cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Gill with shots to the head and body - Noah looks very uncomfortable down there.

Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gill controlling his opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Noah tries to reverse the position but Gill maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gill drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Gill scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Gill has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Gill controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Gill sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Noah's guard. Gill controlling the action here. Noah on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Gill working Noah over with strikes. Gill keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Gill uses his free foot to push down on Noah's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Noah.

Gill is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Noah is surviving well by controlling Gill's body position as best he can. Gill punishing his opponent with strikes. Noah is desperately trying to improve his position but Gill has a good base and remains in mount. Jazz Gill overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. That's three minutes gone in the round. Noah tries to reverse the position but Gill maintains control. Gill is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Noah can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gill landing shots from mount. Gill jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Noah manages to avoid the submission attempt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Noah manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Gill is pressing down on Noah's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Noah drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gill looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gill looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gill! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gill controls the position from side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gill wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Noah, who protects the arm well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jazz Gill dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Joe Noah's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Gill bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Gill content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Gill lands a decent elbow from side control. Noah trying to remain calm as Gill controls from the top position. Gill is trying to get an arm triangle but Noah is defending well. Noah is trying to escape the position but Gill is controlling the position. Gill has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gill decides to take the fight back to the feet. Noah tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gill swivels and escapes. Gill stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gill wants it to stay on the feet. Gill shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gill was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Gill controlling his opponent. Noah is trying to escape the mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gill raining down hammerfists from mount. Noah is bucking up trying to escape but Gill cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Noah is trying desperately to improve position. Gill scores with a couple of good head shots there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gill is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Noah can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Gill controlling his opponent. Gill postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Noah looks a forlorn figure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gill wants to finish this one by submission but Noah is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gill. Gill working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Noah looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Gill! Submission of the night perhaps?
