Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matt Gilden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Ribiero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Ribiero acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt Gilden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Ribiero!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilden circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gilden with a lazy takedown attempt
and Ribiero counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Gilden is lucky that one didn't land flush.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gilden.
Ribiero throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

and Ribiero counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Gilden. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ribiero wants to control from the top but Gilden keeps moving.

Ribiero drops back looking for a leg! Gilden is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gilden manages to kick Ribiero off! Ribiero jumps back into Gilden's guard.
Ribiero throws a big elbow that misses.
Gilden keeping moving, preventing Ribiero from controlling successfully.

Gilden working for a triangle but Ribiero defends it easily.

Gilden is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ribiero is aware though and is defending well.

Ribiero's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Gilden has his foot on Ribiero's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ribiero works his way back into a safe position though.
Ribiero advances position into side control!
Ribiero wants to control but Gilden is keeping him busy.
Gilden is looking to reverse the position.
Gilden gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Ribiero wants to stand but Gilden has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Gilden looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gilden is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ribiero pulls his head out easily.
Ribiero passes to full mount!

Gilden bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Gilden drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Gilden seems to have locked his on tight now - Ribiero screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Gilden, as he picks up the win!
