Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Epping (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc De Ertu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marc De Ertu told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Epping! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marc De Ertu! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Ertu tries to bum rush Epping with a series of wild strikes but Epping uses good footwork to avoid the assault. De Ertu swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Epping counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Epping prevents De Ertu from breaking the clinch. De Ertu goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Epping on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Epping stalling.

It looks like Marc De Ertu has been cut. A frustrated look appears on De Ertu's face as he tries to break the clinch. Epping scores a nice knee to the body.
Epping presses De Ertu against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. De Ertu working hard to break the clinch. Epping connects with a knee to the head.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Epping landing some nice looking knees to the body.
De Ertu tries to pull guard but Epping holds him up against the cage and eventually De Ertu drops back down to his feet.

A frustrated look appears on De Ertu's face as he tries to break the clinch. De Ertu is trying to break the clinch but Epping is controlling him. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Epping lands a knee to the body.

Epping pressing his opponent against the cage. Epping lands a good knee to the midsection. De Ertu won't want to take too many of those. De Ertu looks gassed! Epping pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Epping keeps control of De Ertu as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! De Ertu wants to take the fight to the mat but Epping manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. De Ertu throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Epping gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from De Ertu.

That has opened up Marc De Ertu's cut even more. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Epping obliges. Epping crunches a lovely knee into De Ertu's ribcage. Epping lands a good knee to the midsection. De Ertu won't want to take too many of those. Epping content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Epping is pushing De Ertu up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Epping with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

The cut above Marc De Ertu's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Epping is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Epping is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. This has been an exciting period of action! Epping connects with a nasty looking knee right to De Ertu's face.
Epping displaying some good clinch control by pressing De Ertu up against the cage. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Epping for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Marc De Ertu's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. De Ertu is trying to push Epping away but Epping has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Epping pushes De Ertu back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Epping effectively controlling the action here. A knee to the head by Epping.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Epping stalling the fight.
De Ertu blocks an elbow strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Epping dominated that round. The cut man is working on Marc De Ertu's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
De Ertu fails with an attempt to clinch.
Epping throws a quick inside leg kick. Epping lands a nice leg kick that just misses De Ertu's sensitive parts. A solid leg kick lands there for Epping.
De Ertu looks to throw the jab but Epping is out of range. Epping clinches up against the cage. Epping working De Ertu over with knees to the body. Epping with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Epping scores with a knee to the head.

De Ertu is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. De Ertu decides to pull guard. De Ertu avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Epping looking to pass the guard. Epping controls from within his opponent's guard. De Ertu is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Epping drops back looking for a leg! De Ertu is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and De Ertu manages to kick Epping off! Epping jumps back into De Ertu's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. De Ertu not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Ertu is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Epping rolls with it to try and escape but De Ertu cranks on the arm and Epping is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Marc De Ertu! Marc De Ertu decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
