Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Blatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joulu Pukki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blatt comes to the cage accompanied by you're going down- sick puppies. Jeff Blatt could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Joulu Pukki's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pukki attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Pukki.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Blatt is trying to improve his position.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Pukki uses his free foot to push down on Blatt's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Blatt.
Pukki lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pukki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Blatt's guard.
Blatt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Joulu Pukki has got the better of the ground game so far.

Blatt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pukki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Pukki sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Blatt's guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pukki in particular looking to stall.

Pukki is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Let's hope that Pukki has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Pukki is just content to waste time from the top position. Blatt takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Pukki seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Joulu Pukki has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Blatt misses with a jab, cross combination.
Blatt takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Pukki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pukki swings for the body but Blatt moves out of range.
Pukki cracks Blatt with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Pukki shoots in looking for a takedown but Blatt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pukki's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pukki is defended easily by Blatt.

Joulu Pukki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Blatt throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pukki on the side of the head.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Pukki - that will leave a mark!

Pukki throws a looping overhand right but Blatt ducks down to avoid it.
Pukki shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Blatt pinned against the cage. Blatt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
No joy there for Blatt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A jab lands there for Blatt.
Pukki uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Blatt.

Pukki throws a lazy right hand but Blatt sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Pukki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Blatt sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Blatt stuffs the takedown attempt from Pukki. Pukki gets slowly back to his feet.

Pukki wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Pukki shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pukki showed some decent athleticism there.

Joulu Pukki is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Joulu Pukki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pukki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
