Cruz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cruz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lee Jr sprawls well. Lee Jr wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cruz gets slowly back to his feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tyler Lee Jr hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Cruz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lee Jr defends it nicely.

Lee Jr fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cruz sprawls well initially but Lee Jr persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Cruz is refusing to be controlled, as Lee Jr sits in half guard.

Cruz is not content to let Lee Jr control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lee Jr swings around for an armbar but Cruz sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Lee Jr's guard.

Lee Jr has his foot on Cruz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cruz works his way back into a safe position though.

Lee Jr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cruz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
