Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniels Drinkis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tek Jansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniels Drinkis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tek Jansen! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jansen has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jansen there as he acknowledges the shot. Drinkis forces Jansen back against the cage and clinches. Drinkis taking a breather. Jansen misses with a knee to the head. Drinkis leaning his opponent against the cage. Drinkis is looking to take this one to the mat. Drinkis will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Jansen up against the cage. Drinkis scores with a shoulder strike. Drinkis lands a nice shot to the body. Jansen tries to land a knee to the head but Drinkis blocks with his arms.

Drinkis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jansen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Drinkis looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Jansen actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drinkis is looking for a kimura but Jansen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Drinkis to get the leverage. Jansen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Drinkis stalling. Drinkis scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jansen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Drinkis is working away from the top position though. Drinkis throwing shots but Jansen is blocking nicely. Drinkis with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Jansen wants to get back to full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Drinkis working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Drinkis keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Jansen looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Drinkis trying to control the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drinkis is thwarting Jansen's attempts to control the position. Still in half guard, Drinkis seems content to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Daniels Drinkis has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Drinkis cracks a nice hook into Jansen's ribs. Jansen closes the distance looking to clinch and Jansen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jansen looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Jansen closes the distance but Drinkis moves to the side and Drinkis counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jansen wants to clinch and Drinkis counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jansen thinking. Jansen tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Drinkis counters with a stiff right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Drinkis getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
It looks like Tek Jansen has been cut. Jansen tries to clinch and Drinkis counters with a right hand to the body. Nice uppercut lands for Drinkis. That snapped Jansen's head back.

Jansen blocks a jab. Drinkis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Drinkis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Drinkis is pushing down on Jansen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jansen is fighting to maintain full guard but Drinkis has managed to sneak the leg through. Jansen is in trouble now - Drinkis has advanced to mount! Drinkis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniels Drinkis dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tek Jansen's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Good standup being displayed there by Drinkis as he connects with a hook. Drinkis connects with the punch. Jansen tries to clinch and Drinkis counters with a left and a right that hurts Jansen! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Drinkis jumps into full mount!
Jansen is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Drinkis controlling the pace for now. Drinkis in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Drinkis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jansen can do to turn this around? Drinkis with shots to the head and body - Jansen looks very uncomfortable down there. Drinkis is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jansen has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jansen! Jansen is fighting to break Drinkis's control of his arms but Drinkis is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Jansen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Drinkis swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jansen preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drinkis managing to control the position. Drinkis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jansen's guard. Drinkis is stalling in the full guard. Drinkis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jansen wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Drinkis is now in half guard. Drinkis controlling the action here. Daniels Drinkis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Jansen looking for a kimura from the bottom but Drinkis passes into side control! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Drinkis is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jansen has escaped the position, nice work there. Drinkis takes a little break here. Jansen wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! You can see the frustration on Jansen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jansen sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drinkis content to control rather than advance. Jansen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Drinkis pulls his head out easily. Drinkis trying to control the pace. Jansen is trying to get back to full guard. Jansen is pressing down on Drinkis's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Drinkis content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Drinkis slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Drinkis trying to control but Jansen is working from the bottom. Drinkis controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Drinkis is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Drinkis is stalling in the full guard. Jansen trying to control the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Drinkis working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jansen's head. Drinkis wants to pass the guard but Jansen is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniels Drinkis dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Tek Jansen's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Drinkis scores with a jab. Drinkis looks to score with a jab to the body but Jansen is just out of range. Jansen tries to clinch but Drinkis is having none of it. Drinkis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jansen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Nice strikes from Drinkis there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Drinkis slows the pace down in half guard. Jansen tries to roll over but Drinkis keeps him under control. Drinkis seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drinkis frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Drinkis controlling the pace for now. Drinkis has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Jansen is looking to improve his position but Drinkis isn't that keen on the idea. Drinkis content just to control the position here. Drinkis looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Drinkis avoids the attempt from Jansen to control. Drinkis looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Jansen in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Drinkis working the ground and pound effectively.
This has been an exciting period of action! Jansen is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Drinkis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Drinkis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Drinkis in particular looking to stall. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Tek Jansen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Drinkis jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Noted by the judges no doubt. Drinkis connects with the punch. Tek Jansen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Drinkis swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jansen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jansen throws a sloppy head kick and Drinkis counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jansen throws a sloppy head kick and Drinkis moves out of range easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Daniels Drinkis showed his dominance in that final round. Well Drinkis has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
