Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luiz Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Colon's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, let the bodies hit the floor. Roberto Colon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roberto Colon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luiz Walker!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Walker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Colon somewhat.
A punch lands to the side of Colon 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Colon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Walker.
Walker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Colon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Walker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Colon paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Walker looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Walker throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Colon was covering up waiting for the punch and Walker finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Colon tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Colon wants to get back to his feet but Walker is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Walker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Colon is proving hard to escape from.
Walker slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Walker wants to get up but he can't break Colon's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Luiz Walker wasn't active enough on the ground.

and Colon counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Walker!

Walker is in all sorts of trouble here.
Walker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Walker tries to hold on but Colon postures up.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Walker has Colon pressed against the cage, preventing Colon from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Walker lands a right hand that snaps the head of Colon backwards.

Colon drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Walker misses with a short punch on the inside.

Walker doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Colon has Walker pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Walker manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Walker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Colon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Walker napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Colon tries to stand but Walker is controlling his head.
Walker pushes Colon away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Colon gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Walker is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Colon off and has taken his back!
You can see the frustration on Colon's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Walker really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Colon.
Colon trying to control the action but Walker just sinks the hooks in.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Colon is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luiz Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Luiz Walker hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Colon.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
A jab from Walker finds it's way through Colon's defenses.
Walker connects with a looping right hand.
Walker steps in with a hook that catches Colon right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Walker follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Colon looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luiz Walker!
