Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matas moves in looking to clinch but Spartalainen pushes him off.
Petr Matas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matas stuffs the takedown.
Matas tries to close the distance and clinch but Spartalainen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Matas tries to clinch but Spartalainen moves out of range.
Matas moves in looking to clinch but Spartalainen pushes him off.
Matas misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Matas wants to clinch up but Spartalainen keeps it at a distance.

Spartalainen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Matas to the mat! Matas manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Matas wants to sweep but no luck.
Spartalainen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Spartalainen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Matas wants to clinch.
Matas throws a lazy right hand but Spartalainen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Matas throws a right and a left that Spartalainen avoids nicely.
Spartalainen has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucio Spartalainen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Matas tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Spartalainen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Matas but Matas pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Spartalainen misses with a hook. Matas ducked under it nicely.

Matas is looking for a sweep.
Matas is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Spartalainen has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Spartalainen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Spartalainen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Matas tries to improve position but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Spartalainen is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Matas looks calm but he's in trouble here. Spartalainen gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Matas is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Spartalainen lets go of the hold and Matas can pop his arm back in it's socket.
