Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iggy Guerrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Sobieski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guerrero comes to the ring accompanied by La Bamba. Sobieski has chosen Kto Cię Obroni Polsko as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jan Sobieski!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sobieski lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Guerrero at a distance.
Guerrero moves in looking to clinch but Sobieski pushes him off.
Guerrero tries to clinch up but Sobieski circles away and keeps his distance.
Sobieski throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Sobieski lands with a slapping head kick.


It looks like Iggy Guerrero has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Guerrero's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sobieski connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Guerrero scrambles back to his feet.

Sobieski dives in and scores a takedown into Guerrero's guard.

Guerrero is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Sobieski takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Sobieski has hold of Guerrero's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Guerrero manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Guerrero is in a horrible position here. Sobieski smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The referee warns Guerrero that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Sobieski lands a big shot there that rocks Guerrero but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Sobieski is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Guerrero has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Guerrero wants to control but Sobieski is having none of it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Guerrero slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Guerrero takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Sobieski throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sobieski scores with a head kick. Guerrero tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Guerrero keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Guerrero throws a series of punches but Sobieski moves out of range.
Sobieski fails with a takedown attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
No joy there for Guerrero, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Guerrero cracks Sobieski with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Sobieski looks to land a body kick but Guerrero moved away.
Sobieski scores with a shot to the body.
Guerrero walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Guerrero stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Guerrero wants it to stay on the feet.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Sobieski.
Guerrero is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Guerrero avoids the head kick by Sobieski.
Guerrero tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sobieski swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Sobieski counters with a huge head kick that drops Guerrero! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jan Sobieski!
Jan Sobieski gave a mention to $10 in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
