Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Greg Dellaria! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gino Colon! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dellaria scores with a takedown into Colon's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Dellaria wants to stand but Colon has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Colon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dellaria doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dellaria manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Dellaria got a little sloppy there for a moment and Colon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dellaria has managed to get both his arms back between Colon's legs - danger averted. Dellaria trying to control but Colon is working from the bottom. Dellaria has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Colon is proving hard to escape from. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Colon keeping full guard, as Dellaria tries to pass. Dellaria might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dellaria tries to stand but Colon is controlling from the bottom. Colon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dellaria gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Dellaria moves into the clinch successfully.
Dellaria's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Colon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Dellaria trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dellaria works a leg free and moves into half guard. Colon makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Colon. Colon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dellaria doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dellaria manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dellaria is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Dellaria connects with a couple of short punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Colon looking for a sweep. Not yet Colon, not yet. Colon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Dellaria drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dellaria jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Dellaria stands up over Colon, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Dellaria stands and steps away. Colon gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Dellaria connects with a body shot that sends Colon's belly button to the back. Dellaria fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Colon, pushing him back against the cage. Dellaria manages to break the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dellaria pulls guard effortlessly. Colon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dellaria manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Colon has Dellaria in his guard. Colon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dellaria doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dellaria manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Colon looks gassed! Colon keeping moving, preventing Dellaria from controlling successfully. Dellaria works over Colon with some ground and pound from guard. Colon looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Dellaria is defending well. Colon quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Dellaria has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Colon celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
