The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurtz shoots for a takedown but Marley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Walter Kurtz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice leg kick lands there from Marley.
Kurtz moves in looking to clinch but Marley pushes him off.
Marley misses with a low kick.
Kurtz throws a body kick that misses.
Kurtz shoots in for a takedown but Marley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Marley counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kurtz's knee momentarily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
