Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ollie Melvin Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ollie Melvin Griffin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zack Khan! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khan fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Griffin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Khan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Khan is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Griffin creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Khan sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Khan is looking for a sweep. Griffin lands some shots froms side control. Khan takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Khan tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Griffin easily slips into full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Griffin trying to control but he's not successful this time. Griffin is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Khan has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Khan!
That's one minute gone in the round. Khan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Griffin's guard. Khan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Griffin is controlling Khan's position as best he can from this difficult position. Khan is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Griffin still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Griffin has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khan is looking for a sweep. Khan is trying to get back to his feet. Khan manages to get back to half guard. Khan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Griffin. Khan looking for submissions off his back. Griffin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Khan on the ground. Griffin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Khan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan trying to control here.
Griffin stalling. Khan gets full guard. Khan looks gassed! Griffin trying to control the position from guard on top but Khan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ollie Melvin Griffin wasn't doing enough on the ground. Griffin keeps the fight on the outside.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khan misses with a takedown and Griffin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Griffin moves into range and clinches up with Khan. Griffin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Khan has him pressed against the cage. Griffin is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Khan pulls him back up using the underhooks. Griffin jumps guard.
Griffin looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Khan puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Khan works his way into side control. Khan is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Khan throws an elbow but Griffin slips to the side and avoids it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ollie Melvin Griffin will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Griffin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Khan pulls Griffin into guard.
Khan trying to control the position here. Griffin is looking to stand up but Khan won't let him. Khan will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Khan pushes a forearm under Griffin's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Griffin is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
