The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faith throws the left hand but Wauters avoids the punch easily.

Wauters feints and as Faith raises his hands in defense, Wauters changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Faith looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wauters passes into side control.
Faith is trying to improve his position.

Wauters seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Faith does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Wauters got a little sloppy there for a moment and Faith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wauters has managed to get both his arms back between Faith's legs - danger averted.

Wauters bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Wauters will probably get the nod.
