Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edmund Dorrance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joh Jah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Edmund Dorrance!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joh Jah!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jah takes a head kick and keeps coming.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jah is defended easily by Dorrance.
Dorrance slaps away a takedown attempt from Jah, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dorrance fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Dorrance throws a head kick but Jah moves out of range.

Jah gets caught napping as Dorrance dives in and scores a takedown. Jah manages to retain guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jah can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dorrance controls the pace.

Dorrance tries to free his leg and advance position but Jah is retaining full guard.
Jah bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dorrance's guard.

Jah is looking to work some ground and pound but Dorrance has wrist control.
Jah must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Dorrance utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Dorrance is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jah is pressing down on Dorrance's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Jah is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dorrance is aware though and is defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dorrance has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dorrance landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Jah is trying to maintain the position but Dorrance is very close to passing his half guard.
Jah tries to roll over but Dorrance keeps him under control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dorrance seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jah does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jah is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dorrance connects with a decent elbow.
Jah is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dorrance off and has taken his back!

Dorrance really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Jah's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Jah makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Dorrance throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dorrance moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Jah shoots in but no luck this time.
Edmund Dorrance has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joh Jah.
Jah throws a hook but Dorrance avoids it easily.

Dorrance comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Dorrance misses with a knee strike.

Dorrance is pressed up against the cage. Jah has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dorrance down to the mat. Dorrance avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jah shoots in for a double leg but Dorrance sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dorrance prevents Jah from breaking the clinch.
Jah goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dorrance prevents it.

Joh Jah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jah closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dorrance's guard.
Dorrance has his hands on Jah's head, controlling the position.
Dorrance has momentary wrist control but Jah slips an elbow through the middle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jah pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Dorrance back to the cage. Jah follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Dorrance fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jah has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Dorrance with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
No joy there for Dorrance, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Jah avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Jah shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dorrance napping and manages to drive through into side control!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Edmund Dorrance.
Well Dorrance has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
