Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Richie McCaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcos Alejandro! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCaw moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Marcos Alejandro has been cut. A cross from McCaw lands. Alejandro doesn't manage to clinch there - McCaw circles away.
Alejandro closes the distance looking to clinch and McCaw counters with a nice uppercut. Alejandro closes the distance looking to clinch and McCaw counters with a left and a right that stings Alejandro. McCaw lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Alejandro at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McCaw throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Alejandro was covering up waiting for the punch and McCaw finishes the takedown easily into guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Alejandro being controlled here, momentarily. McCaw trying to control but Alejandro is working from the bottom. McCaw forces his way into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCaw stalling. McCaw looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Alejandro with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. McCaw is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Alejandro looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Alejandro pushes McCaw off and gets back to his feet. McCaw punishes Alejandro's body with a nice straight punch. McCaw sizes up Alejandro with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. McCaw avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McCaw shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Alejandro napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! McCaw lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. McCaw lands an elbow. McCaw advances to full mount. McCaw is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Alejandro can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That has opened up Marcos Alejandro's cut even more. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alejandro is desperately trying to improve his position but McCaw has a good base and remains in mount. McCaw lands a big shot there that rocks Alejandro but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Marcos Alejandro's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
