Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Baratheon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Coffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baratheon looks for a takedown but Coffin sprawls well.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Coffin is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Baratheon asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Baratheon wants to control but Coffin is keeping him busy.
A lull in the action here as Baratheon stalls from top position.

Baratheon swings around for an armbar but Coffin sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Baratheon's guard.

Coffin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Baratheon circles away quickly and effectively.

Coffin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Baratheon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Coffin did well to prevent Baratheon getting side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Baratheon in particular looking to stall.

Coffin is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Baratheon is controlling him well.

Baratheon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Coffin avoids it really well and circles away.

Coffin is trying to break the clinch but Baratheon is controlling him.

Baratheon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Coffin pulls his leg out and moves away.
Coffin goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
John Coffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Coffin shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Baratheon eats them both and turns towards Coffin to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


It looks like Robert Baratheon has been cut.
Coffin misses with a two punch combination.
Coffin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Coffin throws a series of punches but Baratheon moves out of range.
Baratheon shoots in for a takedown but Coffin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Coffin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Coffin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Baratheon.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Baratheon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Coffin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Baratheon remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Baratheon prevents Coffin from escaping the position.
Coffin is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Baratheon tries to advance to mount but can't.

Baratheon decides to stand up, so the ref orders Coffin to his feet.

Baratheon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Baratheon lands in his opponent's guard.

and Baratheon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Coffin misses with a few strikes there.

Baratheon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Coffin was covering up waiting for the punch and Baratheon finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Baratheon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Coffin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Coffin pushes Baratheon off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Coffin lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Coffin.

Baratheon shoots in and bounces Coffin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Baratheon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Coffin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Baratheon is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Baratheon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Coffin is proving hard to escape from.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Robert Baratheon.
I think Baratheon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
