Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Will Brawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Kye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Will Brawler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nathan Kye!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kye throws a chopping leg kick but Brawler manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Brawler gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kye counters with a two punch combo.
Brawler misses with a takedown attempt - Kye sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Brawler changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kye looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Brawler working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Kye tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

Brawler jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kye manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Brawler thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Brawler tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Brawler is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kye has escaped the position, nice work there.

Brawler working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kye is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Kye's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kye is pushing Brawler's head away, looking to escape. Brawler manages to hold on to the position though.

Brawler goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kye rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Brawler's guard! Nice work there by Kye!

Kye stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brawler swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kye is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nathan Kye was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Brawler darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Brawler is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kye doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brawler.

Brawler looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kye is trying to maintain the position but Brawler is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kye throws a head kick but Brawler moves out of range.
Kye fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kye looks for the body kick but Brawler saw that one coming.
Brawler leaves Kye with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Brawler changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kye looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kye is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Brawler is controlling him well.
Kye manages to work his way to half guard, despite Brawler's best efforts.
Kye is trying to escape back to his feet but Brawler uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Brawler is working Kye over with some ground and pound from side control.
Brawler scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kye to see if he's OK.

Kye tries to improve position but can't.

Brawler goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kye has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Brawler but great work by Kye.

Kye decides to stand back up.
Kye is breathing heavily.
Kye keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Brawler tries for a takedown but Kye circles away easily

and Kye counters by clinching up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brawler has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kye is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Brawler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kye is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Brawler is defending well.
Brawler is working for takedown but Kye is calmly controlling the position for now.

Kye's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kye pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Kye clinches up with Brawler and pushes him back against the cage.
Kye tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Brawler avoids it.

Kye goes for a takedown attempt but Brawler pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Brawler misses with a takedown attempt - Kye sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Nathan Kye seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brawler fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kye sprawls well initially but Brawler persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brawler is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kye has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brawler is working away from the top position though.
Brawler wants to pass to mount but Kye is defending the position.

Brawler closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kye quickly recovers to half guard.
Brawler wants to pass the guard but Kye is defending well.
Kye is pressing down on Brawler's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Brawler has gone for a leg lock! Kye slips out almost immediately though and dives into Brawler's guard.
Kye would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Brawler is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Kye wants to control from the top but Brawler keeps moving.
Brawler is pulling down on Kye's head to control his posture.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

We're going to have a standup here because Will Brawler wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Brawler shoots for a double leg takedown but Kye sprawls well. He's pushed Brawler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Brawler closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kye did well to prevent Brawler getting side control.

Kye moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Kye stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Brawler throws up his legs and catches Kye in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Kye tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Brawler! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Will Brawler!
During a confident post fight interview, Will Brawler thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
