Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Rueda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Rueda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Glen Silva!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Silva misses.

Rueda has taken the fight to the clinch.
Silva is looking to break free of the clinch but Rueda has double underhooks.
Silva has had enough of the clinch but Rueda keeps him there for the moment.

Rueda jumps guard and drags Silva to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rueda tightens his grip and picks Silva up, before dumping him to the ground. Silva manages to land in guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva stalks Rueda and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rueda's face. Rueda staggers backwards, shaken.
Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Silva throws a series of punches but Rueda avoids them all with ease.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Rueda is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rueda manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Rueda's guard.

Glen Silva has got the better of the ground game so far.

Silva is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Rueda rolls with it to try and escape but Silva cranks on the arm and Rueda is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
