Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Stewart!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nasri throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nasri fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nasri lands a body shot.
Nasri keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nasri slaps away a takedown attempt from Stewart, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Nasri throws a series of punches but Stewart avoids them all with ease.
Nasri swats away the attempt to clinch by Stewart.
Nasri lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


It looks like Paul Stewart has been cut.
Nasri scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stewart fails with the takedown.

Stewart is rocked!
Nasri lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stewart circles away quickly and effectively.
A right-left combo lands from Nasri.
Stewart is still on wobbly legs! Can Nasri finish him?
Sloppy strikes from Nasri. Those never looked like landing.

Stewart shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nasri napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nasri stops Stewart from passing to mount.
Stewart seems to have recovered his senses.

Stewart tries for a kimura but Nasri is defending well.

Nasri knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stewart on the ground.

Nasri sneaks out the side door and pushes Stewart away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Nasri throws a combination. Stewart tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


That has opened up Paul Stewart's cut even more.
Lance Nasri is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stewart shoots in but no luck this time.
Nasri throws a right and a left that both miss.

Nasri throws a series of punches but Stewart moves out of range.

Nasri lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Stewart backs up against the cage.

Stewart shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nasri sprawls well. Nasri wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stewart gets slowly back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A combination from Nasri does no damage.
Nasri is working the combinations to good effect here.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Nasri enables Stewart to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nasri manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Paul Stewart was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Stewart takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lance Nasri dominated that round.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Stewart's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Nasri connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stewart scrambles back to his feet.
Nasri misses with a series of wild punches.
Nasri stuffs the takedown attempt from Stewart. Stewart gets slowly back to his feet.
Nasri throws a left and a right that both miss

and Stewart counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Stewart is looking to take a break and control but Nasri is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Nasri avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Stewart.

Stewart keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Paul Stewart hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Nice uppercut there from Nasri.
Nasri throws a right and a left that Stewart avoids nicely.
Stewart fails with a takedown attempt.
Nasri will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Stewart moves into range and clinches up with Nasri.
Nasri is trying to break the clinch but Stewart has him pressed against the cage.

Stewart has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nasri is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Lance Nasri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Stewart.

Nasri breaks the clinch.
Nasri swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Stewart counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nasri won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stewart decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nasri to his feet.
Stewart throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nasri's waist but Nasri gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stewart off to one side.
Nasri lands with a nice combination. Stewart backs away looking to recover.

Stewart drives through with a takedown into Nasri's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Paul Stewart has got the better of the ground game so far.
Nasri wants to stand up but Stewart is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nasri lands a lovely overhand right.


The cut above Paul Stewart's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Nice sprawl there from Nasri as Stewart shoots in.
Stewart shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nice takedown defense from Nasri. No joy for Stewart on that attempt.
Nasri lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Donk. Nasri catches Stewart right on the button with a cross.

Nasri throws a right hand that Stewart ducks under and follows up with a left that Stewart also avoids with ease.
Stewart avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stewart shoots in for a takedown but Nasri shows good takedown defense.
Nasri misses with a jab, cross combination.

Oooooh!!! Nasri has knocked Stewart down with a huge combo! Nasri steps away and waves a wobbly Stewart back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stewart is looking to clinch but Nasri is avoiding it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stewart tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nasri swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stewart tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nasri sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stewart somewhat.
Lance Nasri is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nasri stuns Stewart with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Stewart tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Nasri manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Stewart has his takedown stuffed
and Nasri counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.


Paul Stewart's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Paul Stewart's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Lance Nasri!
