Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steven Angero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Crawford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crawford has chosen The Cranberries - Zombie as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steven Angero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, TJ Crawford! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crawford leaves Angero with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Crawford throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Crawford has Angero up against the cage in a clinch.

Angero takes a knee to the side of the body. Crawford misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Angero.
Crawford misses with a knee strike.
Crawford tries to land knees in the clinch but Angero avoids the damage to the body. Knees in the clinch landing for Crawford.
Angero gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Angero seems to be looking for submissions.
Crawford tries to kick Angero off but Angero keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Crawford kicks Angero off and gets back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Angero shoots in for a takedown but Crawford shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crawford throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Crawford takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Crawford throws a right and a left that Angero avoids nicely. Angero throws a left and a right that both miss
and Crawford counters with a left and a right that stings Angero. Crawford defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Angero. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steven Angero. That's going to take a lot out of him. Angero misses with a takedown attempt - Crawford sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Left hook, right uppercut from Angero. Crawford throws a nice head kick!
Angero doesn't succeed with the takedown and Crawford counters with a left and a right... And another left! Angero is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). TJ Crawford! Our winner, TJ Crawford, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
