The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sypher shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Johnson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Johnson has his foot on Sypher's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sypher works his way back into a safe position though.
Johnson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sypher is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Johnson keeping full guard, as Sypher tries to pass.
Johnson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sypher!

Johnson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sypher is aware though and is defending well.
Sypher wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
Sypher slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sypher's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sypher doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sypher manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Sypher is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Johnson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Johnson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Sypher controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Sypher slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Johnson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sypher's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Johnson is looking to improve his position.
Sypher seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johnson tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Sypher has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

That was a close round but I would say that Apple Johnson will probably get the nod.

Sypher gets to his feet. Johnson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Apple Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sypher walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Sypher throws a right and a left that Johnson avoids nicely.
Good exchange - Johnson coming out on top.
Johnson throws a hook but Sypher avoids it easily.
Johnson avoids a kick to the body.
Sypher drops his hands momentarily and Johnson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Daniel Sypher has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sypher manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Johnson on his heels. He'll look to pass Johnson's guard now, I'm sure.
Sypher is breathing heavily.
Sypher is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Johnson has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Sypher is looking to defend but Johnson has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Sypher! Johnson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Sypher taps out and this one is all over!
