Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Amir Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miau Subsi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan misses with a takedown
and Subsi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Khan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Subsi defends it nicely.
Khan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Subsi counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Subsi.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amir Khan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Subsi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Khan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Subsi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Subsi is looking to improve his position but Khan isn't that keen on the idea.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Khan is on top in guard.

Subsi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Subsi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Khan defends it well.

Khan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Subsi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Subsi tries to free his leg and advance position but Khan is retaining full guard.

Khan has his foot on Subsi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Subsi works his way back into a safe position though.
