Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Yochanan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Mc Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Yochanan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Know your Enemy. David Yochanan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Luke Mc Duke's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, David Yochanan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Luke Mc Duke! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yochanan drives through and clinches with Mc Duke against the cage.
Mc Duke wants to get back to striking at distance but Yochanan won't allow it.
Mc Duke manages to break the clinch.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Yochanan.
Mc Duke throws a front kick aimed at Yochanan's knee but Yochanan avoids it well. Yochanan avoids the head kick by Mc Duke.
Mc Duke throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Mc Duke wants to land a leg kick but Yochanan is out of range. Mc Duke tries to work over Yochanan's front leg with a kick but Yochanan checks it. Nice sprawl there from Mc Duke as Yochanan shoots in. Mc Duke misses with a low kick as Yochanan jumps back. Mc Duke gets tackled into the cage by Yochanan. Yochanan maintains the clinch. Mc Duke can't break the clinch.
Yochanan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Yochanan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mc Duke wants to get back to his feet but Yochanan is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Mc Duke keeping full guard, as Yochanan tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yochanan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mc Duke's guard. Yochanan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mc Duke is just riding it out for now. Yochanan eventually gives up the hold. Mc Duke is not content to let Yochanan control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yochanan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mc Duke is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Yochanan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mc Duke is looking to escape. Yochanan is working for a submission of some sort.
Yochanan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mc Duke does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yochanan lands strikes from half guard. Yochanan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Mc Duke is defending against the submission attempts here by Yochanan.
Yochanan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mc Duke doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Yochanan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yochanan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Yochanan stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Mc Duke to get to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. No luck with that takedown attempt from Yochanan. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Yochanan dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Yochanan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mc Duke's waist but Mc Duke gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yochanan off to one side. Yochanan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mc Duke dodges the ground and pound from Yochanan. Yochanan goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mc Duke has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Yochanan but great work by Mc Duke. Yochanan is looking to reverse the position. Yochanan struggling a bit here. Mc Duke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yochanan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mc Duke tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Mc Duke decides to take the fight back to the feet. Mc Duke is looking to score with low kicks. Luke Mc Duke is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yochanan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mc Duke tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Yochanan is able to avoid easily. Yochanan shoots in for a takedown but Mc Duke shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Yochanan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yochanan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mc Duke pinned against the cage. Mc Duke gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Excellent takedown into side control there by Yochanan. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Yochanan fails to land a wild elbow strike.
David Yochanan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mc Duke is trying to buck Yochanan off. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yochanan is trying to get an arm triangle but Mc Duke is defending well. Mc Duke is trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yochanan wants to control but Mc Duke is keeping him busy. Yochanan decides to stand back up. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yochanan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mc Duke avoids it really well and circles away. Yochanan takes a head kick and keeps coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yochanan shoots in for a double leg but Mc Duke sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mc Duke tries to bum rush Yochanan with a series of wild strikes but Yochanan uses good footwork to avoid the assault. The fight moves into the clinch position. Yochanan is working for takedown but Mc Duke is calmly controlling the position for now. Yochanan lands a right hand that snaps the head of Mc Duke backwards. Mc Duke tries to break the clinch but Yochanan is controlling the position. Mc Duke is pressed up against the cage. Yochanan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mc Duke down to the mat. Mc Duke avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Yochanan misses with a body kick. David Yochanan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mc Duke blocks a leg kick. Yochanan thows a body shot but no joy. Yochanan jabs at Mc Duke's body. Mc Duke throws a low kick but Yochanan moves out of range easily. Mc Duke attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Yochanan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mc Duke.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mc Duke leaves Yochanan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Mc Duke tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Yochanan keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Mc Duke feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Yochanan's calf. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mc Duke chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Mc Duke wants to land a leg kick but Yochanan is out of range. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mc Duke lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Yochanan has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Yochanan and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Yochanan clinches up against the cage. Mc Duke blocking some punches.
Mc Duke has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Yochanan wants to take the fight to the mat but Mc Duke manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Yochanan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mc Duke's efforts to push away. Yochanan wants a takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that David Yochanan will probably get the nod. That's time! Yochanan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
A thudding body kick lands there by Mc Duke!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Yochanan checks a leg kick. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Yochanan is defended easily by Mc Duke. Yochanan connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A chopping leg kick lands by Mc Duke. David Yochanan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mc Duke leaves Yochanan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Mc Duke scores with a leg kick.
Yochanan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mc Duke can pounce on him.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mc Duke feints and then cracks Yochanan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Yochanan down. Good leg kick by Mc Duke there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yochanan steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Mc Duke. That one must have hurt. Mc Duke motions for Yochanan to come forward. Mc Duke throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Mc Duke throws a leg kick but Yochanan sees it coming and checks it nicely. Yochanan takes a jab right on the kisser.
Yochanan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Yochanan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mc Duke as he avoids it easily. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Mc Duke tries a low kick but Yochanan avoids it. Mc Duke shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Yochanan moves into the clinch successfully.

Mc Duke wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mc Duke can do anything to dispel that myth. Yochanan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
