Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between JB Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Musashi Kuroda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuroda has chosen Master of Puppets as his entrance music. Musashi Kuroda struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. JB Costa has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuroda misses with a leg kick.

Kuroda is pressing down on Costa's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Costa postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kuroda is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Costa, into his guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kuroda advances to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action!


Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kuroda lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Costa has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Costa and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

JB Costa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Costa fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kuroda sprawls well initially but Costa persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Costa has gone for a leg lock! Kuroda slips out almost immediately though and dives into Costa's guard.
Kuroda is pushing down on Costa's leg trying to pass to half guard. Costa is fighting to maintain full guard but Kuroda has managed to sneak the leg through.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Costa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kuroda pulls his head out easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kuroda has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Costa defend it? Kuroda steps over the head and cranks it - Costa is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kuroda!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Musashi Kuroda!
A very excited looking Musashi Kuroda made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
