Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ben Brawn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brook Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Brook Penn enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Brawn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brook Penn!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Penn as Brawn shoots in.
Brawn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Penn but Penn pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Penn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Brawn, pushing him back against the cage.
Penn prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ben Brawn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Penn pulls guard effortlessly.
Penn throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Brawn stands up over Penn, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Penn feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Penn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ben Brawn will probably get the nod.

Brawn cracks Penn with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Brawn thows a huge punch but Penn dodges it nicely.

Penn bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brawn's guard.

Brook Penn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Penn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
