Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Bower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silas Mayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter Bower has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hunter Bower! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Silas Mayne! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bower keeps the fight on the outside. Bower looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Mayne forces Bower back against the cage and clinches. Bower is trying to break the clinch but Mayne has him pressed against the cage. Mayne wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Mayne shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mayne tries to clinch there but Bower circles away.
Mayne lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Bower sprawling to the canvas. Mayne follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Bower hang on? Mayne is trying to control the action in half guard but Bower is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Mayne wants to stand up but Bower is controlling the position.
Mayne takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Mayne looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mayne is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bower is just riding it out for now. Mayne eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mayne connects with a nice short shot to Bower's temple. Mayne stalling. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Mayne tries to stand and escape but Bower is controlling the position. Mayne slips a nice elbow through Bower's hands, connecting with Bower's forehead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mayne performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Mayne trying to control from half guard but Bower is working away. Mayne lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mayne winds up and cracks Bower with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Mayne lands strikes from half guard. Mayne works his way into side control. Mayne tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Mayne is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bower is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bower manages to get back to half guard. Mayne tries to pass to full mount but Bower defends it. Mayne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bower. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mayne seems to be working for a kimura but Bower defends the submission attempt. Mayne moves into full mount! Bower won't be happy about that! Bower on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bower tries to get out of the position. Mayne is working for a guillotine from mount but Bower frees his head quite easily.
Bower tries to reverse the position but Mayne maintains control. Mayne content just to control the position here. Mayne tries to control but Bower wriggling away. Mayne with a couple of short strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mayne lands with some strikes. Mayne wants to control the pace but Bower is squirming around nicely. Mayne tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mayne wants to control the pace but Bower is squirming around nicely. Mayne has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bower's face.

Mayne is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bower is surviving well by controlling Mayne's body position as best he can. Mayne with shots to the head and body - Bower looks very uncomfortable down there. Mayne scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Bower is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mayne cracks Bower with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Oh Bower is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Mayne lands a big shot to the head and Bower winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
