The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diesel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Villar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Diesel throws a chopping leg kick but Villar manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Villar moves out of range of the leg kick from Diesel.
Villar fails with the takedown.
Villar shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Diesel defends it nicely.

Villar walks forward, straight into a front kick from Diesel.

Diesel pushes Villar up against the cage in a clinch.
Villar is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Diesel to keep the fight standing.

Diesel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A solid leg kick lands there for Diesel.
Diesel tries to clinch up but Villar circles away and keeps his distance.
Diesel throws a leg kick but Villar checks it.

Villar fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Diesel fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Villar has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Villar gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Diesel.
Diesel is looking to slow Villar down with leg kicks.
Diesel displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Villar.

Diesel has managed to clinch.
Diesel lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A right handed body shot lands from Diesel.
Villar fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Diesel drops Villar with a big knee straight up the middle! Villar is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Villar is rocked!
That kick from Diesel tenderised Villar's leg. Villar is trying to keep his angry face on.
Oh Villar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Diesel cracks Villar with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Villar tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Diesel pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Villar is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
