Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jacky Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Angus Ferguson! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A solid leg kick lands there for Ferguson.
Ferguson throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A swing and a miss from Ferguson. Ferguson throws a front kick that sends Jones stumbling back into the cage. Jones fails with the takedown. Jones is breathing heavily. Ferguson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ferguson is looking to slow Jones down with leg kicks. Ferguson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jones. That did some damage! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ferguson throws a quick inside leg kick. Ferguson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ferguson scores with a leg kick.
Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ferguson wants to clinch. Jones uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ferguson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ferguson but Ferguson pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacky Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ferguson tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance. Ferguson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ferguson as he jumps to the side. Ferguson scores with a spinning back kick! Ferguson chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ferguson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jones counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ferguson won't be happy with that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Ferguson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jones is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ferguson has escaped the position, nice work there.

Jones swings around for an armbar but Ferguson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jones's guard. Ferguson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Jones had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ferguson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jones Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ferguson's back instead. Ferguson tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Jones swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ferguson is now in Jones's guard. A big mistake from Jones there, giving up the dominant position! Ferguson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ferguson stands up and waves to Jones to follow him. Ferguson explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Ferguson looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well. Ferguson wants to clinch but Jones slips to the side and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Ferguson didn't expect that. Jones postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ferguson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jones, into his guard. Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ferguson is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ferguson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jones Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ferguson's back instead. Jones has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Ferguson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jones is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ferguson defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Ferguson showing good submission defense here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jones is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Angus Ferguson dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Ferguson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jones's sensitive parts. Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Ferguson which made him look bad. A good leg kick by Ferguson. The fight moves into the clinch position. Ferguson lands an elbow inside that Jones shrugs off.
It looks like Jacky Jones has been cut. Ferguson crunches a lovely knee into Jones's ribcage. Ferguson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Jones fails with the takedown and Ferguson counters by moving into the clinch. Jones fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacky Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ferguson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

A slapping leg kick lands for Ferguson.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Jones looks for a takedown but Ferguson sprawls well. Ferguson with a body punch. A glancing blow. A jab from Ferguson finds it's way through Jones's defenses. Jones blocks a leg kick. Ferguson throws a leg kick but Jones checks it. Jones looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ferguson! Jones goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Ferguson is on top in guard.

Ferguson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jones isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ferguson stacks Jones on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ferguson!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferguson controls the position. Jones manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Jones is looking for a kimura but Ferguson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jones to get the leverage. Jones is trying to work for a kimura but Ferguson is defending well.
Jones is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Ferguson reverses the position - he's now on top in Jones's guard. Ferguson preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jones is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Ferguson stands and steps away. Jones gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Ferguson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jones's calf. Jones decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Ferguson is trying to control but can't.

Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ferguson is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold. Ferguson has one foot on Jones's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ferguson as he jumps to the side. Jacky Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jones showed some decent athleticism there. Jones wants to pass to mount but Ferguson is defending the position. Jones is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Ferguson still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Ferguson has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Angus Ferguson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jacky Jones's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jones is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Jones is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jones takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Ferguson keeps Jones at a distance using the push kick. Ferguson throws a leg kick which misses Jones's front leg but catches the back leg as Jones tries to avoid it. Ferguson chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ferguson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jones counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jones moves nicely into side control. Jones advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ferguson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Jones prevents Ferguson from getting the reversal. Ferguson tries to hold on but Jones pushes him away. Jones goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Ferguson turns into him and now he's in Jones's guard.
Ferguson pushes down on Jones's leg and manages to get into half guard. Ferguson decides to return to a standing position. Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ferguson counters with a thumping low kick. Ferguson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Jacky Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ferguson, right into the meat.
Nice sprawl there from Ferguson as Jones shoots in. Ferguson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jones's head backwards. A kick lands to the mid section there for Ferguson. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jones fails with the takedown and Ferguson counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Ferguson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ferguson wants to clinch. Ferguson has managed to clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Angus Ferguson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Ferguson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
