The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Bradley or perhaps it was just good defense by Gardner which made him look bad.
Bradley doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Gardner counters by moving into the clinch.
Bradley misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Bradley is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Chris Gardner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cristos Bradley.
Bradley wants a takedown but no success here.
Bradley pulls guard.
Gardner prevents Bradley from getting back to his feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bradley can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gardner stands and throws Bradley's legs to the side, diving into side control.

and Gardner counters with a series of strikes. Bradley will be more careful next time no doubt.

Bradley pulls Gardner into guard.

Bradley wants to stand and escape but Gardner is having none of it.
Bradley pushes Gardner off and gets back to his feet.

Bradley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gardner to the mat! Gardner manages to get full guard.
Bradley is looking to work some ground and pound but Gardner has wrist control.

Gardner wants to stand but Bradley is controlling the position.

Gardner is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bradley is aware though and is defending well.
Gardner looking for a guillotine here but Bradley defends easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gardner kicks Bradley off and gets to his feet.
Bradley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Cristos Bradley wasn't active enough on the ground.
Bradley has his takedown stuffed
and Gardner counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bradley!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bradley squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Bradley wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Gardner has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Bradley taps furiously! This one is all over!
