The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Raffinski swivels and escapes.
Raffinski slaps away a takedown attempt from Mir, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Micheal Raffinski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mir.
Raffinski connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mir's hands.
Mir shoots in looking for a takedown but Raffinski manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mir's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A jab from Raffinski finds it's way through Mir's defenses.

Raffinski lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mir at a distance.

Raffinski cracks Mir with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Raffinski feints with a jab and clips Mir right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Mir is sent crashing into the canvas and Raffinski leaps in for the kill! Mir tries to get to his feet but Raffinski is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Mir is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Micheal Raffinski!
