Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Golijat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francois Steyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruno Golijat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Francois Steyn! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steyn dives in and scores a takedown into Golijat's guard. Golijat looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Steyn wants to get up but he can't break Golijat's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Steyn pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Golijat is keeping the position for now. Steyn is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. It looks like Steyn might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Francois Steyn hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Golijat gets tackled into the cage by Steyn. Steyn maintains the clinch. Steyn has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Golijat after a bit of a struggle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Golijat keeps control of Steyn as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Golijat jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Steyn walks away with a smile on his face. Golijat gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Golijat stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Golijat wants it to stay on the feet. Steyn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bruno Golijat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francois Steyn. Steyn shoots in and bounces Golijat off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Steyn gets to his feet. Golijat looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Steyn tries to clinch but Golijat moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Golijat misses with a double jab.
Steyn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Golijat swivels and escapes. Steyn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Golijat's waist but Golijat gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Steyn off to one side. Steyn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Golijat sprawls well. Golijat wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Steyn gets slowly back to his feet. Steyn moves away from the strike by Golijat. Steyn is trying hard to land a takedown here. Golijat sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Golijat fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Steyn shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Golijat as he avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steyn with a lazy takedown attempt and Golijat connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Steyn shoots and misses and Golijat counters with a lovely straight right hand! Steyn swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Golijat dives in and scores a takedown into Steyn's guard. Steyn looking to control.
Steyn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Golijat is one step ahead there. Steyn keeping moving, preventing Golijat from controlling successfully. Steyn is trying to control the position but Golijat postures up. Steyn is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Golijat is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Steyn wants to sweep here but Golijat controlling him for the moment. Steyn is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Steyn has momentary wrist control but Golijat slips an elbow through the middle. Golijat has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Golijat is fighting to break Steyn's control of his arms but Steyn is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Golijat lands a couple of digs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Steyn is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Golijat wants to control from the top but Steyn keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Francois Steyn dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
The fight stays on the outside here - Steyn looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Steyn punishes Golijat's body with a nice straight punch. Steyn jabs at Golijat's body. A nice inside leg kick there by Steyn. That's going to slow Golijat down. Golijat swats away the attempt to clinch by Steyn. Golijat walks forward, straight into a front kick from Steyn. Steyn scores with a head kick.
Francois Steyn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Steyn shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Golijat is trying to defend but Steyn finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Steyn should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Golijat is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Steyn scores with a couple of nice shots. Steyn sitting and controlling from the half guard. Steyn passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Golijat! Golijat working to try and regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steyn landing shots from mount. Steyn lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Steyn controlling from mount. Steyn pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Golijat is trying desperately to improve position. Steyn working for a submission but Golijat is keeping him at bay. Steyn working for a submission but Golijat is keeping him at bay. Steyn controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Steyn is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Golijat to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Golijat shrugs it off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Francois Steyn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Steyn lands with a kick to the temple. Golijat shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Bruno Golijat is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Steyn gets in close and instigates a clinch. Steyn avoiding damage.
Golijat is trying to pull guard but Steyn turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Steyn manages to break the clinch.
Golijat gets caught napping as Steyn dives in and scores a takedown. Golijat manages to retain guard. Steyn stands up from Golijat's guard - Steyn perhaps looking for a knockout. Steyn lands a high kick!
That's one minute gone in the round. Steyn scores with a body shot.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Steyn misses with a few strikes there.
Steyn gets in close and instigates a clinch. Steyn leaning his opponent against the cage. Steyn successfully pulls guard.

Golijat with a flurry of punches that miss. Steyn has his foot on Golijat's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Golijat works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steyn wants to get back to his feet but Golijat is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Steyn trying to keep a closed guard but Golijat is proving a slippery customer.
Steyn had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Golijat defends it easily. Steyn is looking for a triangle but Golijat pushes his legs off easily.
Golijat is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Steyn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Golijat regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Steyn.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Golijat keeping full guard, as Steyn tries to pass. Golijat had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Steyn defends it easily. Steyn is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Golijat working for submissions but it's allowed Steyn to get to half guard.
Steyn stands up out of the half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Francois Steyn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Steyn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
