The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Joseph Jones and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid body kick from Gerarld.
Plum tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Plum throws a sloppy head kick
and Gerarld holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Gerarld looking for a takedown.
Gerarld wants to stall.
Plum breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Plum.
Gerarld is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Plum.
It looks like Lee Gerarld has been cut.
Nice uppercut there from Plum.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Plum leaves Gerarld with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Colt Plum is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gerarld tries to score a power double leg takedown but Plum sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gerarld somewhat.

Plum throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gerarld.
Plum takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Gerarld closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Plum has had enough of the clinch but Gerarld keeps him there for the moment.

Gerarld drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gerarld has Plum pushed against the cage.
Gerarld throws an elbow but it misses.

Gerarld is pushing Plum up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Gerarld tries to land a knee to the head but Plum blocks with his arms.
Plum has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Gerarld regains guard immediately.
Plum avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Plum passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gerarld keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Plum is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Plum slows the pace down in half guard.
Plum is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Gerarld has managed to free his arm - good work.
Plum wants to stand up but Gerarld manages to regain full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Plum throws a nice head kick!
Plum gets tackled into the cage by Gerarld. Gerarld maintains the clinch.
Gerarld throws a knee to the head but misses.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Gerarld is looking for a takedown.
Plum wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gerarld has him pressed against the cage.
Plum breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gerarld looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Plum!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gerarld avoids the attempt from Plum to control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gerarld is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Plum has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Plum!
Plum trying to control but Gerarld is working from the bottom.
Gerarld might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Gerarld had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Plum defends it easily.
Plum wants to control from the top but Gerarld keeps moving.
Plum pushing down on Gerarld's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Gerarld is looking to improve his position.
Plum stalling away here and it's allowed Gerarld to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Plum is looking to stand up but Gerarld won't let him.

Plum must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Plum trying to control but Gerarld is working from the bottom.
Gerarld escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Plum gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Plum trying to control the position from guard on top but Gerarld is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Colt Plum hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Plum throws a wild body kick that Gerarld sees coming a mile off.
Gerarld closes the distance looking to clinch
and Plum counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Gerarld is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Plum throws a head kick but Gerarld moves out of range.
Gerarld tries to clinch up.
Gerarld is looking to clinch but Plum is avoiding it.
Colt Plum seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Plum misses with a body shot.
Gerarld throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Plum defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gerarld.
Gerarld shoots in looking for a takedown. Plum tries to sprawl out of it but Gerarld keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Plum manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Plum throws a right hand that Gerarld ducks under and follows up with a left that Gerarld also avoids with ease.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gerarld shoots in and bounces Plum off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Gerarld throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Plum's waist but Plum gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gerarld off to one side.
Gerarld tries to clinch up but Plum circles away and keeps his distance.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Plum works over Gerarld's head and body with a nice combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gerarld on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Plum lets loose with a powerful body kick. Gerarld will feel that in the morning.
Plum lands a nice leg kick that just misses Gerarld's sensitive parts.

Plum throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
