The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from James.
James looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Couture moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
James tries to clinch
and Couture counters with a one-two to the body.
A right-left combo lands from Couture.
Couture with a hook.
Couture throws a low kick but James moves out of range easily.
Couture lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
James is rocked!
Couture pushes James up against the cage in a clinch.
James is still on wobbly legs! Can Couture finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Couture wants to break free but James has control.
Couture is trying to break the clinch but James is controlling him.
A frustrated look appears on Couture's face as he tries to break the clinch.
James prevents Couture from breaking the clinch.
Couture breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ryan Couture seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Couture connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends James to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Couture!
