Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dmonray Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Meogy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malapitan comes into the arena with My Time is Now blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mr Meogy!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Reed Andrews and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meogy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Malapitan to the mat! Malapitan manages to get full guard.
Meogy trying to control the position from guard on top but Malapitan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Meogy postures up.
Malapitan pushes Meogy off and scrambles back to his feet.
Meogy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Meogy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Malapitan moves away.

Meogy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Malapitan was covering up waiting for the punch and Meogy finishes the takedown easily into guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Malapitan holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Meogy decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Horrible takedown by Meogy or perhaps it was just good defense by Malapitan which made him look bad.

Malapitan stalks Meogy and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Meogy's face. Meogy staggers backwards, shaken.
Meogy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Malapitan sprawls well initially but Meogy persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Meogy is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Meogy looks to land a strike but Malapitan avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Meogy is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Malapitan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Malapitan has escaped and now he's on top!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Malapitan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mr Meogy has got the better of the ground game so far.

Meogy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Malapitan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Malapitan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dmonray Malapitan will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dmonray Malapitan.
I think Malapitan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
