PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rambo John J (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dot Warner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rambo John J!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dot Warner!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warner swinging wilding here.
Warner avoids a punch combination nicely.
Warner shoots for a double leg takedown but John J sprawls well. He's pushed Warner's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
John J throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Warner closes the distance and clinches up with John J, looking for a takedown. Warner pushes John J against the cage but John J circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Warner drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Warner looks up at the clock and then as John J takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Warner smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

I looks like Warner might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
